LITIGATION

Ito Law represents individuals, businesses, and public entities in civil litigation throughout Florida, including employment disputes, defamation claims, and other contested matters. We provide practical advice and representation in state and federal courts, tailoring our approach to the facts of each case and the client’s goals.

APPEALS

Ito Law handles civil appeals before Florida’s District Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Our appellate practice combines careful analysis of the record, thorough legal research, and clear, persuasive advocacy to defend favorable decisions and challenge adverse rulings.

Jamie Ito

Jamie Ito founded Ito Law in 2017. Her practice focuses on civil litigation and appeals, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in Florida’s state and federal courts. Her experience in state government, the nonprofit sector, and private practice informs her approach to the legal and practical challenges her clients face.

Before founding the firm, Jamie served with the Florida Office of the Attorney General, where she represented the State of Florida in trial and appellate proceedings. Prior to that, Jamie practiced with the North Florida Center for Equal Justice where she represented low-income clients in housing and consumer law matters.

She graduated from the Florida State University College of Law in 2005 and is admitted to practice in Florida, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Jamie serves on the Board of Directors of Legal Services of North Florida. She lives in Tallahassee with her husband, Marc, who practices administrative law. They have two sons and a dog, Teddy. Outside of work, she enjoys playing adult-league soccer and hiking and exploring natural spaces.
